The 9th International Oboe Competition of Karuizawa, Japan 2009
The Sony Music Foundation announced the details of the 9th International Oboe Competition of Karuizawa. The application deadline is April 24, 2009.

The Competition is being held triennially since 1985, and to date, the prize winners have taken the position of the principal oboists of such world famous orchestra as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Amsterdam Royal Concertgebouw, Berlin Deutsche Opera Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre National de France, Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra to name a few.

First Stage: October 10 & 11, 2009
Second Stage: October 13, 14, & 15, 2009
Final Stage: October 18, 2009
