Ex-general manager of Kioi Hall, Takao Hayashi wrote a book called “Samurai of Steel Constructs a Music Hall” recording his 2000 day challenge on how Nippon Steel Corporation, a company principally in the steel business constructed a music hall to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their founding. Where as a music hall is usually built with the priority placed on the building itself, Kioi Hall was constructed under ideas assumed to be ideal, and the book is a valuable document of how contents with a unique concept were constructed in the process of undertaking the project. We would strongly like to recommend this book to those working in the music industry, particularly people who are involved in hall management.
