Last year, the Association of Japanese Symphony Orchestras set March 31 as “Orchestra Day” hoping to create an opportunity for many to enjoy the orchestral music and to feel closer to the orchestra.
27 professional orchestras of Japan will join us this year in giving concerts specially designed for the day and various exchange programs at concert halls and rehearsal venues everywhere. In Tokyo metropolitan area, a one-time big orchestra will be organized with selected musicians of 11 orchestras. It will give a concert and fun event for children at NHK Hall.
The orchestra not only provides high quality art but also has diverse capability to offer inspiration and creativity to all.
We will present the event so that we will be able to share magical charm of the orchestra with as many children and people as possible.
