The OKIDEN SUGARHALL AUDITION FOR DEBUT CONCERT was begun in 1994 to commemorate the opening of Sugarhall, which has been specifically designed as a music hall. The annual competition is organized by Nanjo City, Okinawa Prefecture; the Okinawa Electric Power Co., Inc.; and the Okinawa Times.
This competition is organized with the objective of (1) discovering and developing young, promising, and talented musicians and (2) contributing to the promotion of the musical culture in the regional and international cultural exchange.

Born on or after April 2, 1978 and no later than April 1, 1988 |

Piano and Stringed Instruments: |

|
Born on or after April 2, 1982 and no later than April 1, 1990 |

Wind Instruments and Percussion Instruments: |

|
|
Born on or after April 2, 1980 and no later than April 1, 1988 |

* Those who have won other international or national competitions in the past should not enter this competition |
| Duration of the Performance: |
|
Vocal Music: No more than 10 minutes |
|
Piano: No more than 20 minutes |
|
Stringed Instruments: No more than 15 minutes |
|
Wind Instruments and Percussion Instruments: No more than 15 minutes |
