•Eligibility :
Contestants must be persons of any nationality residing in Japan or be citizens of other countries in Asia, and be no younger than 18 nor have reached their 35th birthday (born on or after June 1,1972 and up to April 30,1990).
•Schedule
An initial evaluation will be conducted based on submitted documentation and audition CD, MD or cassette tape [No entry fee]: At the beginning of July 2007
First elimination round [Entry fee ¥17,000]: October 4 (Thu.), 5 (Fri) and 6 (Sat.), 2007
Second elimination round [Entry fee ¥20,000]: October 7 (Sun.), 2007
Final elimination round [No entry fee]·Award ceremony: Afternoon of October 8 (Mon., holiday) 2007
•Repertoire Requirements
Test pieces
-Tosti songs: Contestants shall prepare seven songs (in at least two languages) from the ten test pieces on the undermentioned.
Own choice:
-Tosti songs: 3 songs (Musical selections are made by contestants, but must not duplicate test pieces.)
-Japanese songs: 1 song (Musical selections are made by contestants, but must not exceed three minutes.)
-Note: Persons other than Japanese are also free to participate. (Non-Japanese persons need not sing from memory.)
