For the first time in Japan we have invited the IRCAM, Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique, research team from France, to hold several IRCAM software workshops, and at the same time to hold a concert performance by members of the IRCAM's global performers Ensemble Inter Contemporain. It will be held on from 7th to 10th December in Tokyo.

At its Paris base, IRCAM carries out every year study and development sessions for young post-graduate composers and researchers, but for various reasons such as lack of funds, language and time, the number of people who can actually go to France to study is very limited. For that reason, we have invited an IRCAM research team to Japan, and we are sure that providing the opportunity to study in Japan the software developed at IRCAM will bring great benefits to the Japanese arts world.

We will hold workshops and lectures to introduce the research fruits of their cutting edge sound and music techniques.

In addition to the workshops, which will also include symposium and rehearsals open to the public, we are scheduling a concert. We invite performers from Ensemble Inter Contemporain which has emerged as one of the world ' s premier chamber music groups. And as we will hold pre-talk and workshops before the performances, we plan to invite a composer belonging to IRCAM with a lot of experience in this field.
Participants from IRCAM:

Christophe Martin de Montagu (a manager)
Yan Maresz (a composer)
Laurent Bômont (a trumpeter)
Emmanuel Jourdan (a lecture)
Grégoire Lorieux (a lecture)
