The regular annual meeting of the Japan Association of Classical Music Presenters for fiscal 2006 was held on Monday, June 5. A report on last year's projects, including their final accounts and a project plan and budget for the current year were discussed and approved. These final accounts and relevant information will be posted on the Association's home page within the next several days (in Japanese).
No one holding an executive position was reelected for the current year. A separate announcement gives the personnel now responsible for running the Association's affairs.
International Activities
The following three items were included in this year's project plan:
1. Use projects like the Agency for Cultural Affairs International Performing Arts Festival (IPAF) as a vehicle for greater involvement with Asian cultural organizations. Establish an Asian classical music projects network.
2. Increase cooperation with the International Artist Managers' Association (IAMA).
3. More international promotion of musicians based in Japan.
