The Miyazaki International Music Festival: Coming in May!
|

|
The 11th Miyazaki International Music Festival will be held Thursday, May 4–Friday, May 19, 2006. Charles Dutoit will serve as artist director and conductor of the Miyazaki International Music Festival Orchestra, with fellow guest artists Chantal Juillet (violin), the Julliard String Quartet and a lineup of outstanding Japanese musicians. The festival's main venue will be Isaac Stern Hall at the Miyazaki Prefectural Arts Center.

The schedule includes five main programs, four special concerts offering superlative programs at low admission prices or for free, street corner concerts and a concert in the city of Hyuga, in northern Miyazaki Prefecture. Another highlight will be a series of educational programs for young people.
