·Characteristics of Sendai International Music Competition
|
Repertoire focusing on Concertos
Contestants are required to perform concertos along with a string quartet in the Elimination Round and with an orchestra in the Semifinal and Final Rounds.
Big prizes and continuous and enthusiastic support to the 1st prizewinners
One of the big characteristics of the Competition is that it awards large amounts of prize money. For example it awards a cash prize of 3,000,000 Japanese yen to the first place winner of each section.
Another attractive characteristic of the competition is that the organizer enthusiastically assists the career development of the first prizewinners by giving them performance opportunities for three years.
