Born in 1986, start Piano at age 3. After graduating the Meiwa High School music department in the Aichi prefecture, he now studies at the University Mozarteum Salzburg. He has been studied with Naohito Fukaya, Koki Shimizu, Claudio Soares, and Christoph Lieske.
In the PTNA Piano Competition, he gained prizes including Gold prize in C, E, G Grades. In 2001, he won the first prize in the junior high school division of the All Japan Student Music Competition, Nagoya district.
In 2002 he was the second prize winner in the B section of the Etlingen International Piano Competition, also receiving the Haydn prize. In August of the same year, he was the Grand- prix winner of the 26th PTNA Piano Competition. In November he was the winner of the 18th annual Takahiro Sonoda Piano Competition.
In 2003, he won Arion Prize 2003, the 14th Daiko Foundation Scholarship and Ezoe Scholarship.
In 2004, his first debut album "Hibiki Tamura Debut Album" was released.
In 2006, he awarded the 16th Idemitsu Music Award
His successful performances include the concert at Mozarteum in Salzburg (1994), performing with the Chamber Orchestra in Warsaw, Poland (1997), Recital and Concerto in Brazil, the Liszt Festival in Utrecht, and the Animato Festival in Cortot Hall, Paris. He successfully participated in all over Japan such as the Suntory Hall 17th annual ceremony Gala Concert, “Pianist Series recommended by Takahiro Sonoda”,"Arion Prize Ceremony Recital at the Tokyo no Natsu Music Festival”, NHK FM Recital, the 25th YOKOHAMA International Piano Concert, the 16th Idemitsu Music Award Concert etc. He played with such orchestras as Osaka Symphoniker, Japan philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Nagoya Philharmonic, Kansai Philharmonic orchestra, Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa, Kanagawa Philharmonic and Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.
