"The best play of Beethoven" (Gramophone) and "her intelligence made her succeed in expressing her personality in her pieces among numerous other masterpieces" (Nihon Keizai Shimbun) - these are the critiques of the CD of Beethoven's works ("Therese Sonata", "Waldstein Sonata", etc.) played by Yuko Hisamoto.
Yuko Hisamoto has also released the CD of Chopin's works and the one called "Nostalgia" which includes the works of Liszt, Schubert, Debussy, Grieg, Delius, etc., both of which are evaluated highly because she played these works artistically without displaying tricky techniques.
According to the critiques quoted above, Yuko Hisamoto is not only a person with an excellent sense of music but also an intelligent pianist.
Particularly as for Mozart she has visited Vienna, Salzburg, London, Paris, and so on to find books on him, and she has given lecture concerts about Mozart more than 200 times.
Her lecture concerts about Mozart were introduced by the column called "Tensei Jingo" in Asahi Shinbun, which is one of the major daily newspapers in Japan.
Based on these recitals and studies she has published three books called "Looking for Mozart's clavier music - a genius and his contemporaries -", "How did Mozart play" and "Mozart in age of youth", which have been watched with keen interest respectively.
She plays an active part internationally, and above all, she has often visited Latvia to play music composed by Japanese, and she makes efforts to introduce Latvian music to Japan. |
