Profile
 1979 born German-Japanese cellist Danjulo Ishizaka studied with Boris Pergamenschikov from 1998 until 2004 at the Hanns Eisler Conservatory in Berlin where he is currently continuing his studies with Antje Weithaas and Tabea Zimmermann.
 Among many other major prizes Danjulo Ishizaka won the 1st prize at the renowned ARD international music competition in Munich (Germany, 2001) and the Grand Prix Emanuel Feuermann of the Kronberg Academy and the UDK in Berlin (2002).
 He has played with orchestras like the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, NHK Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Gulbenkian, RSO Frankfurt, the Franz Liszt- and Munich Chamber Orchestra under the baton of notable Conductors like C. Poppen, M. Rostropovich, L. Foster and K. Penderecki.
 Danjulo Ishizaka has recorded sonatas by Britten, Franck and Mendelssohn for his Debut Album on SONY Classical with pianist Martin Helmchen.
 Ishizaka is supported by the Kronberg Academy which also provides him with the W. Schnabl cello, formerly played by Boris Pergamenschikov. In addition, he plays the Stradivarius cello from 1696, the Lord Aylesford, on loan to him from the Nippon Music Foundation.
