After graduated from Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music with distinction, Haruko Ueda went to Paris to study at Conservatoire European de Musique de Paris where she received a Diploma for an International Musician. She has won several prizes in international competitions including Long-Thibauld(1986), Munich(1987), and Porto(1988).Haruko Ueda has enjoyed high reputaion as a distinguished chamber musician and has played and toured with numerous artists such as A.Adrijan(fl), G.Galois(fl), M.Strauss (vc), B.Pasquier(vla), M.Arrignon(cl), and Jean-Jacques Kantorow(vn). In 2003, Haruko Ueda released a duo recording with J-J Kantorow from Ongaku no Tomo.
