Mihoko Kinoshita completed both her Bachelor and Master's Degree at the Musashino Academy of Music. In 2001, she began studying abroad in Italy with Rotaly International Friendly Scholarship, the Recruit Scholarship and Rome music foundation Scholarship.
Soprano Mihoko Kinoshita has been awarded numerous prizes, including; Verdi International Vocal Competition in Busseto second place in 2005, The Licia Albanese Puccini foundation Competition first place in 2007
In 2002 with conductor Seiji Osawa, performed Don Giovanni (Donna Elvira). After that, in 2002 at the Santa Margherita Opera Festival she performed Madama Butterfly. She continued her outstanding performances of Madama Butterfly in the Tokyo-Bunka kaikan, and in Bulgarian Sofia Opera Festival, the Sofia National Opera Theater. She was highly acclaimed at all performances. Her other performances in Il Trovatore, in La Traviata.
In 2007 she performed as Mimi in La Boheme, as Amelia in Un Ballo in Maschera in the Tokyo Bunkakaikan, and Verdi’s Requiem at the Spokane Symphony.
In 2008, her deubt at the Baltimore Opera in Madama Butterfly, in La Traviata at the New Tokyo National Theater.
She resides in New York city.
