Born in Osaka, she got both BA and MA degrees from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. She was awarded the prizes of Ataka, Matsuda, Gotoh and the scholarships of the Japanese government and The Gotoh Memorial Foundation in Japan. She was also awarded many prizes at the international competitions such as ; the prizes of classical music, Ulmer Theater and Mahler Festival at the "H. Zadek" competition in Passau, the 2nd prize and the scholarship at the "I. Adams" competition, the A. Pertile special prize with Mr. Pavarotti in Padova and the 3rd and the Mercedes Vinas prize for the optimal soprano at the "F.Vinas" competition in Barcelona. She has already appeared at the important theaters; Teatro San Carlo in Naples: Woglinde <Das Rheingold>, Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania: Elvira <I Puritani>, Teatro G.Verdi in Florence: Elisa <Il Re Pastore>, Staatsoper Stuttgart: Servilia <La Clemenza di Tito>, Teatro dell'Opera Roma / New National Theater Tokyo: Olympia <Les contes d'Hoffmann>, New National Theater: Zerbinetta <Ariadne auf Naxos>, Tokyo Bunkakaikan: Sophie <Der Rosenkavalier> and Volksoper Wien: Die Königin der Nacht <Die Zauberflöte>, Blonde <Die Entführung aus dem Serail>, Nannetta <Falstaff>, etc. In 2004, she will appear at Volksoper as the role of Die Königin der Nacht and in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya as Cunegonde in <Candide>.Her discography includes; Rossini <Il signor Bruschino>(Sofia), Mozart <Requem>, etc. Her first solo album will be released from BMG in 2004.
