Kyoko Tabe went on to compete in and win first prize at Epinal International Piano Competition in France and Schnabel Piano Competition in Berlin, and other awards to date have included 3rd prize at International Music Competition ARD in Munich as well as a major prize in the Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw.
She worked with Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra,Moscow Philharmonic, Bamberger Symphony,Wiener Bläserensemble,Carmina Quartett,Leipzig Straing Quartett,Alban Berg Quartett,Jesus Lopez-Cobos,Neville Marriner,Paavo Jarvi,Jean Fournet,Mikko Franck.She made her New York recital debut at Weill Hall presented by Carnegie Hall.
DENON has released more than ten of Ms. Tabe's recordings. In particular, her recording, Mendelssohn: Songs Without Words was named "Best of the Month" by Stereo Review (United States) and received praise from England's BBC Music Magazine and Gramophone, and Germany's Phono Forum. she recorded the work for release on the CHANDOS label. Equally on CHANDOS label, she has recorded Sibelius 'Piano Works' which has won many encouraging reviews on some major British music magazines such as BBC Music and Gramophone. She also had a recording session of Debussy's "Piano Works" in 2000 and Greig's "Piano Works" in 2001.
