Miss Kudo has already received numerous accolades including 1st prize at the 1992 Sapporo Junior Cello Competition and 2nd prize at the 62nd Japan Music Competition in 1993. Further, after participating in the Nagano-Aspen Music Festival, she earned a scholarship to attend the Aspen Music Festival.
Miss Kudo is very active as a chamber musician and most recently made her debut concert with the Juilliard School's Avalon Quartet during Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival. Prior to this great achievement, with a recommendation from the Emerson Quartet's David Finckel, Miss Kudo had already been performing in both the Sante Fe and La Jolla Music Festivals since 1995, working with David Finckel, Julie Rosenfeld, Heiichiro Ohyama, David Golub, Daniel Phillips, David Schifrin and Carter Brey. And after her initial success at the Marlboro Festival in 1999, she was re-invited for 2000 and 2002, including the prestigious Musicians from Marlboro tours each year.
Miss Kudo is recognized for her artistry that becomes more apparent with each performance. Her 1997 season included a master class with Mstislav Rostropovich, a performance in Singapore's Gifted Young Musicians' Concert, and performances with violist Nobuko Imai in Ms. Imai's "Viola Space" concert series.
In 2000, Miss Kudo rereased her first CD, a collection of various works, on Philips (Universal Music KK). In 2001, she released her second CD.
