As recent activities ; In 2000--marking ten years since her triumph at the Marguerite Long-Jacques Thibaud International Concours for Piano and Violin, Mie Kobayashi recorded Bach: Unaccompanied Violin Sonatas and Partitas.
In May 2001, in conjunction with the release of her CD J.S. Bach: Unaccompanied Violin Recital, she performed a recital of Bach's and Bartok's unaccompanied violin sonatas at Kioi Hall in Tokyo. In June of the same year, Kobayashi played and recorded works with Pascal Roge and Yoko Hasegawa at Divonne Music Festival in France.
Mie's activities in 2003 include participation in Paris in "Tailleferre and Japanese Women Composers" concert at La maison de la culture du Japan de Paris in March; in Tokyo, giving the Japanese premier of Yorgos Sicilianos: Sonata for violin and piano op. 45 and Nikos Skalkottas: Duo of violin and cello at the Japan-Greece Contemporary Music Concert held in September; Duo recital with Pascal Roge in October ; the continuation of a series recitals of all Beethoven's violin sonatas completed in 2003.
