Duo for violin and piano

Toru Yasunaga(violin):Studied under Toshiya Eto.Graduated the University of Toho Gakuen School of Music in 1974. While studying at the school won the first prize at the 40th Music Competition of Japan in 1971. In 1975 entered the Hochschule der Künste Berlin,studying under Michel Schwalbé. In 1977 jointed the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.In 1983 November was appointed as the first concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. Performed concerts regurally throughout Europe, Australia and Japan as Duo with Ayumi Ichino(piano),Piano Trio and as the leader of chamber ensembles like Philharmonische Streichersolisten, Berlin, and Philharmonische Kammer Solisten,Berlin.
Ayumi Ichino(piano):Studied under Yoko Karashima,Teruji Karashima,Reiko Takeo and also Hiroshi Tamura and Kazuko Yasukawa at the Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music and received Ataka Award. Graduated the university studied under Pierre Balbizet at Conservatory in Marseilles and won a prize at the Maria Canals International Competition in Barcelona Spain. From 1978 studied under both Klaus Schilde and Klaus Hellwig at the Hochschule der Künste Berlin and passed the National Musicians Examination with the highest marks. Served as a lecturer at the university in 1991-1996. Have been active as both soloist and with chamber ensemble like Phiharnonische Kammer Solisten,Berlin with Toru Yasunaga(violin) in Japan and throughout Europe.
